We started out our day one with a walking tour by a young man named Noor. He is a former street kid and now works with the Salaam Balaak Trust, an organization that takes kids off the street and provides a variety of services including a search for the parents and educational opportunities.Next we visited a Hindu temple that was beautiful but cameras were not permitted inside. After a blessing and a quick walk through we headed for lunch. Attached is a picture of the top lunch choice Butter Chicken. The group picture is is in front of the Jama Masjid mosque (largest mosque in India). We followed that with a rickshaw ride through the streets to the Red Fort. We wrapped the day up at a Craft Museum to view some beautiful handmade crafts of India. The two contributors to today's write up are Sophia Morong and Nisha Kate, so a big thanks to them and their picture taking.
